All Adult classes meet in the Parish Library at 9:30 am.  Get a cup of coffee and join us for any or all of these lively discussions.

Participants will build friendships and community through telling our stories in the light of the stories of scripture, and explore our gifts for ministry.  Requires regular attendance for 12 weeks in Fall.  (Orientation on 9/26)  Facilitated by: Kathy France

Patty Chamberlain is new Director of Children’s Ministry

It is with great joy and expectation that I announce that I have called Patty Chamberlain to serve St. Thomas as the Director of Children’s Ministry.  Her responsibilities will include coordinating Children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church, working with Wednesday evening programming in cooperation with the Children’s Choir director, directing special events such as Vacation Bible School, and serving as liaison with the Day School and the nursery.  Her focus will be children through grade 5.

Patty is a gifted and creative individual.  She recently served as Program manager for the Columbus Public Library; prior to this she was coordinator of Community Relations manager for Barnes and Noble.  She has been involved in a variety of Christian Education ministries in Episcopal churches in Georgia and North Carolina.  Patty and her husband, The Rev. David Chamberlain, have been members of St. Thomas for the past four years.  The have two adult children.  We are blessed to have her in this new role.

I am very grateful for the St. Thomas Commission on the Child, which helped with the search for Children’s Ministry director.  This group created a job description and helped advertise this job.  This group works closely with all children’s ministries in our parish.  This group includes Debbie Anderson, Melissa Groff, Mitchi Wade, Jessica Camp, and Lisa Shaw.
